...sungguh...

Suka sangat dengan lagu ini... since the first time I heard it few years ago..

Bisikan Nurani

Lautan kematian ombak

Tenang pantai tiada terusik

Begitulah tasik hatiku

Sejak kehadiranmu

Betapa aku hargai

Anugerah syurga di dunia

Doa kudus aku panjatkan

Semoga dirahmati

Telahpun ku syukuri

Di dalam hidup ini

Cinta suci kurniaan Ilahi

Kejernihan wajahmu

Sempurna pada pandanganku

Kau kirana

Keturunan terpilih

Disanjung serta dihormati

Kau permata

Kesederhanaanmu

Mengecap kekayaan dunia

Kau mestika

Ketaqwaan dirimu

Itu yang merantai jiwaku

Bukan aku memuji

Apalagi memuja

Salahkahku kagumi… perhiasan duniawi

Bisikan nuraniku

Engkaulah pilihanku

Akanku pertahankan

Amanah suci ini

Busy time....

Salam...Hi...

It's been a while I have been 'silent' from updating my blog... Well, I've been very busy.. and a lot of things happened during those period.

At this moment, I'm busy preparing my conference paper that is due in two weeks time as I had to submit it to my former supervisor for checking before I can actually produce the copy to the secretariat for the Conference. I was informed to prepare about 10 pages of the compressed version of my dissertation for publication in this year's journal of education. Hopefully, opportunities will come after that.. Insyallah..

While I'm doing that, I still have markings to do.. teaching.. preparing relief for 'missing' teachers (hehe.. a term for teacher who is absent from school).. lots of school work.. and also not forgetting my duties in the administration. With the SPN-21, teachers get to work on developing individual report sheets while I prepared a Report Book for each student. Hopefully, parents will show up during this coming saturday's event, HoR Day (Report day for students) for year 7, 8 and Men 4. Really expecting parents to attend the briefing session that will be conducted before the reports can be given to the parents. One good thing about this HoR which we have been practising each year is that parents get to meet the subject teachers with the Muzakarah Forms readily available for parents to take with them to see the respective teachers. A brilliant idea proposed by our former deputy principal, Cikgu Asmah.. Excellent!!

Apart from that, my name is also nominated to participate in a conference this June.. however, it is still awaiting approval from the Ministry of Education, as lots of spending will be involved and how relevant it is going to be for the department involved. I'm always supporting this department and that it will be a good idea to explore more approaches in this field that they are researching. Hmm... I know that I have to sacrifice my vacation again this June if this is approved.. I really need to be positive about this opportunity. I will take it!! Insyallah...

The school is undergoing a 'shift' which most people are not favouring.. Shift as in moving places.. several move has to be made in order to fully utilise school facilities and not leave them unattended (without usage). It is a headache trying to decide who goes where and how to move things around. I too had to move my desk back to my old room. I can't imagine how I'm going to move the Cabinets and all my stuffs to that room and feels like I've been moving around the school for many times.. Let me count... 7 times.. for me to move back to my old room, it is 3 times.. From the common staffroom, for 3 years being just a teacher and also the Examination Secretary for N level and O level Examination, I had to move to the special room. I used to be a Registrar in which I had to be there with the Welfare Officer and the Head of Discipline in the special room.. then I had to be moved out back to the common staffroom as a newly transferred senior mistress need to have that room. What to do? I had to bring all my stuffs back to the staffroom. At that time I was in two different departments, Mathematics and Science Departments. So, I have another place to mark my books, i.e. the labs. Well, not long after that I quit teaching Science as I was offered to teach Additional Mathematics.. Otherwise I had to teach lower secondary science, lower secondary mathematics, Mathematics syllabus D and also Additional Mathematics.. plus my examination duties and registrar.. hahaha.. tough for me.. so I choose to not teach science and stayed in the Mathematics department.

Okay back to moving places.. When the Senior Mistress left for another school, the room was only occupied by welfare and discipline. I moved there for a few months and then there was this Bersepadu (Ugama school), that I had to move back to the common staffroom. Then, three of us got promoted to be SM. I told myself that I will not move in there unless someone asked me to do so. I felt tired of moving in and out of the common staffroom. That's the time when I opted to do my Masters. Alhamdulillah... Done with Masters.. I was asked to move to the other room as it was only occupied by one SM. So, I was there for three years.. and now this.. I had to move back to that room again... just my luck!!! I guess there will be more moves after this.. hehe..
I felt like I'm kicked here and there like the football.. some might find this amusing but this is the reality.. nobody else has this experience before. hahaha.. you can ask around.. they'll tell you the same thing.. It's always "the small one" can move easily here and there.. okay tu.. inda ia marah tu.. yeah.. people who knows me will know that I don't get angry easily unless it is so unbearable and i cannot control then I'll cry.. I will not get angry unless with my students but not with other staffs. I'm not a temperamental person.. It's just me who always keep quiet when people start bullying me or making jokes about me or talk about me behind my back. I'm not someone who will take revenge when people do something bad. I'm just me.. like what my mom used to tell me.. just be quiet and let things be as it is.. they will forget everything that they say.. as most of them are out of their minds making up jokes or stories about me.. Yes.. I will remember what my mom told me. It makes me be a positive person inside.

I remember what Dr Fadzillah Kamsah used to say something about one person who is happy may not show that he/she is happy (unless someone asked of course) but that a person who looks cheerful gives the impression that he/she is happy but nobody knows what is in their minds (are they happy? or just trying to make themselves happy by being in a so-called "not-unhappy" look...). So, do we judge people by looks? Hmm... I don't think so and I think it is wrong to do so..

Similarly when we send messages to friends.. We thought that a message sounded like a person is cheerful but infact they are so in trouble.. or when we send text messages, people thought that we were mad or angry.. this happens all the time.. why?? well, one of the answer that I could think of is that the message sent was only a reading message and people tend to interpret it in their own way and also in their own mood!! If you happen to text to a person who is stressful (you don't know that person is stressed at that time.. not shown on the screen.. hehehe), then you sent another text message.. that person will tend to reply in a peculiar 'tone'.. what i mean here is that their message is longer that expected and they also include indications that they 'assume' that you are being ridiculously impatient for their reply.. or perhaps thought that you were mad or unnecessarily out of your mind.. I guess sometimes text messages bring bad news too.. It may make people "assume" too much and they tend to be sensitive at times.. Now I thought of voice messages as being a better messaging tool rather than the text message. From voice messages, you can hear the other person's voice and you can indicate their state of mood (whether happy, sad, angry, stress and so on). So, we cannot blame people who replied in such manner.. it is perhaps the words we have chosen may not be appropriate as it may lead people to make wrong judgements on your mood.. Well, this is just my opinion and may or may not be agreed by all. One thing to remember, we cannot please everybody.. If people think that we are what they think we are, then let them.. we cannot change people's mindset.

I just remembered the workshop that I attended today.. "Change!! Before the change gets to you!!" which do you prefer?

A happy event..

I just don’t know how to write about the event in this post but I only know how I felt and learn something from it. Maybe it doesn’t sound too good for me to post it here as I am going to include comments from people about myself in my workplace.. but I always take their comments as positive and very motivating..

Note: It may sound a little bit odd for me to write on this but it is up to the reader to perhaps read or leave. The decision is yours.. =)

I am really touched by the thoughts of my colleagues on Sunday evening when I attended the away day.. Yep, I truly admire all the potential that everybody have but sadly I couldn’t give one to everybody that I could think of.. Hence, I had to make a wise decision so as not to make a negative impact.. hopefully hehe..
I never thought that I could leave an impact to some people, well, I know usually I get negative remarks from people but that makes me a stronger person.. when one person made a mistake, that doesn’t mean the person is a bad person and will never correct their mistakes.. Only pessimistic people think that way.. Being positive is the strong and powerful tool that has helped me in many ways. Whatever I do, I always remind myself to keep positive and whenever things doesn’t go well, it makes me think about ‘rezeki’ and things happened for some reasons which only Allah knows.. Perhaps Allah wants us to do much better and that we have not put in a lot of effort and sincerity into making things work… hmm.. lots of reasons which we don’t know. So, it is a learning process which should never stop.

Based on the notes that have been passed to everybody, I received six types of character and potentials which I never know that I have them.. ☺

The most (seven votes) that I got was being a very professional, talented with high potential.. saying that I have the capacity to go very far.. Insyallah… Doa-doakan saya.. Terima kasih kerana memberi peringatan itu dan saya sangat sayang kamu semua..

I do hope that I can work to that standard that the notes have asked me to be.. One note given by my boss (my former teacher) was that “You are a teacher I truly admired.. You work with sincerity, dedication and high sense of commitment”.. I just can’t believe that I have made that impact on my former teacher. Big thank you..

The other four (one piece) notes were ‘A Mentor & Coach I truly value’, ‘I can come to you when I am down or slightly under the weather’, ‘You can be my boss’ and ‘You are simply a pleasant person’… Thanx.. hehe…

I will keep these notes in a safest place.. and will read them from time to time.. to keep me reminded and motivated..

Love ya…
